PREVIEW - Grénoble-Isère by Totingue

Antonio Totingue is one of our new authors and now working on his first commercial product. Antonio stems from Russia originally, but now lives in Europe's highest city, Grénoble, the capital of the Alps.

Antonio is building the small regional airport of Grénoble-Isère, also known as St. Geoirs.

Below are three facts that make this new product interesting for a large group of our customers:

1. Antoine has made it to fit the famous FranceVFR Alpes Nord scenery (but will also make a version for the default MS mesh).

2. The product is made for FS2004, NOT for FSX, catering for a continued demand for FS9 products!

3. Although it is a very detailed project (sea features below), we'll sell it at a very reasonable price.

We currently have an Alpha version from which I made the screenshots for this page. There are still things that will change, things to be added AND things to be tested.
But after seeing the pictures I'm sure you'll agree with me: it looks nice !!!!

Here are some of the features:

- ALL buildings (100%) of the airport, without any exception, are modeled; the most important ones in the vicinity of the airport are modeled as well
- ALL buildings have photorealistic textures;
- You can switch runway lights when you wish if you tune your NAV2 frequency to 116.95
- The doors of some hangars are open at daytime, they are closed at night
- Flights can be started from within a hangar by choosing a "dock" as a start location (don't forget to choose a small aircraft!)
- Parking locations are called as follows:
- "CEFA" (Centre de formation aéronautique) part of the airport corresponds to "N" parking location;
- "Aeralp" part of the airport corresponds to "S" parking locations;
- The main apron has no prefix and is referred as "Gates".
- A bus will arrive and depart to the main terminal every 4 hours each day.
- There will be additional airport vehicles (fire engines, "follow me" car, ladders, carts/trolleys) that are not yet in the screenshots
- The parking will be filled with cars; in the final version they will appear in random order

Alright, enough talk, have a look at what's coming (INCLUDING the wonderful FranceVFR Alpes Nord software in our screenshots !!).

First some pictures of my flight to the city of Grénoble.

The pictures shown were taken using the Matrox TripleHead2Go device, making the image span 3 monitors.

A view eastwards towards Grénoble with the Alps in the background.

Flying back after having visited the airfield of Le Versoud.
We'll follow the Isère river westward to reach St. Geoirs

The little red dot just 'above' the Cessna is the light of St, Geoirs Airport!

And here is a collection of shots I made of the Alpha Version that Antonio provided.

(Mind you, I am not the best of artists, but it should give you an idea of what's coming!)

Planned release date: End of the year!
